** COMING IN 2018: OUR YTT ONLINE SPACE **
We’re in the thick of building an online space for our yoga teacher training where you’ll get access to sections of the training to complete at your own pace, videos you can return to/review whenever you need, and spaces to connect with your community. That’s right – part of the training is going online, which means less time you need to book off to join us in-person, and more of our in-person time spent moving, sharing, practicing, experimenting, and getting invaluable hands-on experience and feedback. Once you’ve completed your YTT training, you have access to the online space and any updated information every year as we evolve and add/update content. You’re welcome. 😉
As we build the online platform and sort out how much content will be there, we’ve put up the MAXIMUM in-person time we would spend together for our teacher training in 2018. Very likely we will meet in-person for about three weeks less than what is listed, but best to prepare for the max amount of time to book off. Get our newsletter to get all of the latest updates on this exciting change!!! –

Yoga Teacher Training: The FAQ
Q: Is becoming a yoga teacher a smart career move?
It’s never been a better time to become a yoga teacher. Check out the 2016 Ipsos Yoga in America study to learn more about this booming industry.
Is yoga teaching the right path for you? If you’re wondering about the realities of life as a yoga instructor, read Asia’s blog post on being full-time in this field, including the scoop on pay, perks, and long-term plans …
Yoga Teacher Trainings offer two two general levels of certification: One is BASIC, which is usually your first training and generally takes around 200hrs. It’s where you learn the foundational skills for teaching a beginner yoga class. Pranalife Yoga’s BASIC training is a thing of lore (really, read what our grads have to say) and has been a life-changing experience not just for our teachers (who are now rocking it), but for our crew who joined for personal interest or to take their own practice further.
Any training beyond your first or BASIC training in yoga is called “Advanced”. Pranalife Yoga has an ADVANCED training like no other, and we constantly aim to make it the best advanced training available anywhere. It’s tailored to give you the experience you’ll need to rock this career in the real world: supported independent/self-driven work based on your goals, access to a great network, and touch-base coaching with Pranalife Founder Asia Nelson and Business Expert Ada Barlatt throughout. The best part? You have access to EVERYONE who’s doing the Advanced Training to connect, encourage, network, and learn from each other as you work on your own goals. If you’ve taken on a huge goal before, you know that this kind of connection is invaluable.

I came home after today’s YTT and did a the adjustments we learned on my boyfriend, and he just melted. I felt so confident in what I was doing after all of practice we did as a group, and he loved it.
Pranalife Yoga helped me find a sense of balance in my life. The rush of day to day with working full time, raising my boys and somehow finding time to take care of myself was overwhelming and often resulted in things being half-done, no sense of accomplishment and me feeling incredibly mediocre in all aspects of my life.
From the beginning, Asia provided the type of environment that was calm, safe and inviting. Her style of teaching is holistic, influencing the body, mind and spirt. She provides opportunities for exploration and growth and emphasizes the importance of listening to your body and doing what feels right for you. She gives permission to let go of expectations and move in complete freedom. This permission was something that I needed more than I had realized.
She is open and honest about the way her practice has evolved and encourages those around her to question the “why” of the choices they make both on the mat and off of it, be it postures, samskara, or relationships. The way her classes are structured and the encouragement she gave allowed me to move my practice to an entirely different level.
Through my practice with yoga and with Asia, I was able to slow down and give myself permission to “do the thing and let it go.” Remaining present in what I was currently doing instead of worrying about what was next on my “list”. I stopped striving for a sense of perfection on my mat with poses and meditation. I stopped comparing what I was able to do with what I could do in the past or what the person on the mat beside me was doing or on Instagram feeds, and this came off of my mat tenfold.
Instead of striving for an “image” of perfection, I found enjoyment and gratitude for what I can do through listening to myself. It’s made me a better parent, a more attentive wife and friend and a stronger teacher.
