Workshops: Mastering Movement

Alignment is correct when

steadiness and lightness in the posture are achieved,

holding it becomes effortless,

and meditation is possible.

~ The Yoga Sutras 2.46-2.48

The Pranalife ‘Move Forward’ workshop my exceeded my expectations. Having Asia ‘take apart’ and workshop my forward fold enabled me to go deeper in the posture while holding proper form. This was the first time I have felt really great after doing a forward fold and that was a profound realization in itself to learn in such a practical way! I highly recommend taking a workshop with Asia!

~ Greg Nawrocki, yoga student

Yoga is full of big, powerful movements that build endurance, strength, coordination, integrated balance, and mobility. Without a strong, adaptable core and good form, though, you might be moving toward injury. Finding the best balance of strength and ease is the foundation of every moment in your yoga practice – and your life.

This workshop is a VERY creative exploration of core stability and strength, spine safety, and how to maintain balance even in non-ideal movements (i.e. what often happens between the ‘ideal postures’ – on your mat and in your life). Learn how to build a foundational practice for life-long freedom of movement in your body. We’ll also introduce how to layer pranayama (breath control), pratyahara (awareness training), and yoga’s focusing techniques onto your physical practice.
